Yueqian is a student at the University of Ottawa, where she is currently the Vice President of the English Debating Society. Her achievements include winning the 2024 Colgate IV, Guindon 2024 Novice Finals, and advancing to finals at the 2024 Socrates Global Debate Competition, hosted in partnership with the North American Mandarin Debate Association.
