Overview
SEED is excited to announce the return of the Fall Bash! The Fall Bash will bring together debaters from across Canada for a weekend of high quality debate. Participants will receive detailed written feedback from closed rounds after the tournament, and they will have the opportunity to participate in seminars put on by our world class CA team.
The tournament will take place online from November 16-17, 2024.
Registration
Registration is $80.00 per team. We will have an early bird discount: teams that register and pay in full on or before October 31, 2024, will be charged $60.00 per team. Please note that payments are transferable, but non-refundable.
Registration will be accepted until November 10, 2024, or until the team cap is reached. Please submit the registration form here. Institutions can register for a maximum of 10 team slots at a time. Once they have paid for the first 10, we may be able to allocate additional team slots if the team cap has not yet been reached.
Please note that if you need to drop a team after November 10, 2024, you will be responsible for either paying the full registration fee or finding someone to buy your team slot from you. The deadline to pay for the tournament is November 10, 2024.
Partner Matching
If you would like to attend the tournament but do not have a partner, SEED Debate will match you with a debater of a similar age and skill level and arrange for you to attend one practice debate with your partner before the tournament. This service costs $50.00 per student, or $40.00 per student with the early bird discount, and is inclusive of tournament registration.
If you would like to register as an individual and be matched with a partner, please submit our registration form. We will contact you within 5 business days to set you up with your partner.
Practice Rounds
Teams can register for practice rounds before the tournament, which will be judged by SEED coaches and scheduled based on students’ availability. Each round costs $20.00 per team. The option to register for practice rounds is included on the tournament registration form.
Novice Status
All students in Grade 9 and below are eligible for Novice status. We will have a break to Novice Semifinals.
